Installed and configured an open source SAN (Storage Area Network) for Crest Industries Inc. - Fenton, MO

To provide additional storage and future flexibility a SAN was choosen.  The SAN will be utilized by multiple applications and multiple servers.

Some of its uses are:  

• Disk based storage for Symantec Backup-Exec backup jobs
• Storage for windows file shares
• VmWare virtual machine file storage

The SAN utilizes:

• 3COM gigabit switches
• An HP Storage Server
• Linux Open source based SAN solution
